Background: Currently the most popular large breed, the Lab is a great choice for an active family or individual. An outgoing nature and a kindly heart, coupled with keen intelligence makes the Lab an eager to please working dog, as well as a loyal companion. Lab's have been used to aid the disabled, for search and rescue in addition to activities such as hunting, tracking, agility, and obedience. Labs need an owner committed to exercise and training. A bored Lab is a Lab causing trouble! Labs love kids; the more the merrier, and generally adapt easily to other animals. |
